Seeing as though my sennheisers gave up the ghost recently I'm after some new RF headphones. Can anyone reccommend a pair? Willing to pay a fair bit if they're decent. The senns were pretty average as they were susceptible to interference quite often and lacked decent range (sound wise that is).

Thanks

Nokia BH-604 - DJ style over-the-ears
Plantronics Audio 990 - sit on the ears, but they are nice to use still.

Both good headsets. The plantronics one comes with a nice cradle and the bluetooth dongle sits on your desk so you can adjust volume etc.
Not so sure on the Nokia accessories, I was just told it was a good headset - I'd assume it comes with a bluetooth dongle, but I'd check if buying.

Cheers Rack

Looking around I don't think the Nokia set comes with a dongle, so they're out of the question as I'll be using them with a TV.

The Plantronics set looks good. Is this the cradle? And does it also act as the charger? Does the dongle get its power from the 3.5mm jack or must it be connected to the cradle? How do blind people know when they are done wiping? What was the best thing before sliced bread?  :P

Yeah, that's the cradle. Both the cradle and the volume control/dongle are powered from the same cable - it splits into 2. But their generic power supply powers the dongle as well. You could have a separate power supply at your tv for the dongle to plug in there.

Not sure if they are as good as other 'generic' RF headsets - they are bluetooth so you can pair with your phone, etc

Thanks for the info.

Do you have a set of these yourself? Whats the audio quality like and do they suffer from interference at all?

Quality seems good, don't really suffer from interference. I'll see if I can give them a test out next week (they are at work).

I like the specs of those Plantronics ones but I don't like over/on ear headphones - I prefer in-ear ones. Do you know of anything like that?

I like the look of but the Bluetrek ST1 headset but from what I understand of the specs it isn't as good.

Forgot about this thread

Ended up going for a wired pair instead. No chance of interference that way!

Samson RH600, I can recommend them to anyone wanting an inexpensive set of wired 'phones. (£30 local probably much cheaper online)

Cool. I can honestly not recommend those ones I bought with gaming now I've tried them... glad you didn't get them. You really need to buy good USB dongle to go with as the one included is a PITA. Also they suffer slightly from lag.

For music they are good, and it's nice to be wireless.

I'll keep those in mind for future purchases at home. At work I use Beyerdynamic DT250's and they are awesome, but cost a bit.
