I was speaking with Fragma and its possible because my gaming pc mobo (asrock 775twin - IP35pro on order) doesnt support dual channel whereas the media mobo does

need the memory tab from the gaming pc ;)

ah right, yeah lack of dual channel will murder performance, but might be able to tighten the timings a tad to try and speed things up

You have the memory configured incorrectly, they're running single channel and as AMD_Man said that'll reduce memory performance. Check you have the DIMMs in the correct slots to enable dual channel, refer to your mobo manual.

i cant, it supports both DDR and DDR2 and thats what im guessing is the reason for [censored] performance, as soon as my new mobo comes i will stick the memory in dual and see what happens

I'm assuming you're not running the IP35 then.

Also what divider is your memory on as if its ddr2 then the slowest is prob 667mhz/2 so should show up as 333mhz in cpuz.
