I don't know about surround multi screens. I can't stand the frame in between the display across one screen to another. Perhaps he should just get a big screen?

My new rig:

Q6600 @ 3.2GHz 8*400
ASUS P5E
4GB A-Data PC2-6400
ATI HD 4850 in crossfire
Samsung F1 750GB
ASUS Xonar DX
Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme
Corsair TX650W
Antec Three-Hundred

I'm going to watercool this rig soon, especially the HD 4850's cos they're really noisy on full load.
