Okies, normally get a big 10 page worklog but i did this in a couple of hours yesterday and did it ghetto mod style as per the norm

the innards

e6700 ES
2gb geil ultra
8800gtx
160gb samsung sata2
250gb samsung sata2
pioneer dvd-rw

the water bits

koolance cpu block, low profile horizontal barbs
koolance chpiset block ghetto modded in
micro res
laign version of swiftech mcp-350
custom built rad (cheers ben :))
1/4" tubing
akasa amber fans

the idea, keep it internal and keep the dvd-rw and 2 harddrives.

i did not use a single tool other than a screwdriver for this mod, oh, and some scissors

the bits
Image

the rad :)
Image
Image

cpu location
Image

chipset block, tore the spring thing off the stock hsf but it moves around lots :S
Image

shuttles damn proprietry mounting method required some ghetto modding with some random springs and big metal discs
Image
Image

blocks
Image

rad, just slid it in, no mounting nescacary
Image
Image
Image

res
Image

1/4" pump mod
Image

final product (still need to mount res but think i'll buy a new one instead as the barbs are a hassle
Image

lots still to do. i want to buy a new radiator, dual 70mm for the side where the res is, move res, re-do tubing, get an external dvd-rw as i barely use it as it is, replace the 2 harddrives with one larger one, buy new fans and cut a big grill into the top to allow for good airflow to rad when case cover on

i did this in about two hours then threw it in the car to goto a lan so didn't have time to prettify it.

the res is not mounted, it just hangs around but it is going to be replaced i think/moved once i get a new rad

i'm at the lan so the room is boiling but it's idling at about 45C which isn't too bad but there is a very limited air passage to the rad so i need to change some things around

well i mixed things up as i was bored when i got back from the lan.

switched around all fans so that the psu gets cold air as does the rad. the gpu temp will rise on account of this possibly but it will lower cpu and psu and then uses the 92mm fan as exhaust.

the loop was totally impractical so i ghetto modded the lower hdd and used the drive cage for the pump and res. it makes it a lot harder to remove the cpu but it is clean, cool and nothing flopping about anywhere

only downside is i'll need to buy an external dvd-rw but i can live with that, the only time i use the thing is for the odd dvd, installing an OS and doing the drivers afterwards
