Hi, I'm to build a system for a friend, he wants a quad core system with 16GB Ram, and a mid-high end gpu.
but am undecided on which cpu, intially i was to go for a q9550 which is excellent value for money, and works with most s775 mobo's and still uses hell lot cheaper ddr2 ram, but would i7 should be a better buy, due to performance and future upgrades,
so to cut a long story short, what would you recommend q9550 or I7 920 or i7 8 series, and if you suggest i7 which mobo to go with s1156‎ or the s1366, what is the diferrence, I hear the 1366 is a one off, and is being replaced with 1156 or is that hearsay.
