hughlle « Tue 23 Feb 2010, 08:29 » i'm doing good. gave up on computers and moved into the food industry where i am once again burdened with computers. i now have my american boss telling me it's only logical for closed source software to be changed to his preference and that i need to get on top of it... sigh.

300s « Sat 20 Feb 2010, 06:08 » although the 4 GB Dominator DDR3 I got for £70 new on special any way so it was probably cheaper than the XMS3 was in hindsight. Funny old world

300s « Sat 20 Feb 2010, 06:06 » Isn't it funny how some mobos BIOS won't let you use certain dividers on RAM even though there well below tolerance? Kind of makes you wonder why the hell did I go with Dominator RAM could of just got the cheaper XMS3 & ran that under spec

300s « Thu 28 Jan 2010, 11:04 » seems pretty good for what it is, mixed reviews none of them bad but some results show it close to megahalems, & other results show it just better than other heatpipe coolers in the same price range (for lower Watt 1156 CPU) as long as it gets me to 4Ghz I't will be fine

|
300s « Thu 28 Jan 2010, 10:59 » wanted a decent push pin cooler as I don't want to drag it all out again. I could of got the sythe 1156 clips for the cooler I got here but on checking the cooler wont fit full stop to much congestion around the socket etc

|
300s « Sun 03 Jan 2010, 08:36 » I do know you can fit any push pin 775 cooler to the 1156 mount holes by removing the push pins & using nuts bolts & washers from the DIY store, because the holes are enlarged in the bracket. But £6 inc P&P for new cooler brackets doesn't justify the hassle especially if you have to but the screws & bolts
