I would image you would do a bit getter on win xp if your really aiming to push it to the max. Might be a bit marginal tho.

Reseons i think your getting better scores:

2GB ram = more stable then 4gb.

full atx mobo = more inclined for this speed.

Tweaked OS = better performance....

.........one thing im annoyed by is why your GT and quad @ 3.5ghz kicks my rigs arse... it shouldnt be like that.

Give me 1 day and i will run my system with 2gb ram @ 3.8ghz with my g.skill ramped high and my 8800gtx at 648/1670/1107 and then we will see who is second

You still have not learnt about overclocking,my young overly frisky grasshopper it is not about the rig but who is driving it.

Well, there isnt much to overclocking untill you come to memory tweaking, i must admit im not so good at that as i leave it at 4-4-4-12 for most things as thats what i find most stable.

As i know for a fact my G.skill can do 510Mhz and my XMS2 can do 500+ i will see how far i can ramp them up with my cpu at 3.6Ghz. or 3.8Ghz

I have found a problem with my motherboad though... well i think its the motherboard as when i set my CPU at 3.52Ghz its stable all day and all nite but when i set that FSB over 440 i get Memory corruption all the time thats with 4x1GB sticks though so my chipset must not be doing to well.

Im going to see what i get then when my replacement DS2R comes i will try that motherboard to see how it compaires to this one, you never know it may actually be more stable

I cant wait till the new M-ATX Mobo's come out with the newer chipsets, they may evan put SLI on them ... yes yes we can all wish cant we?

i can sence it will be a long time before one of us comes out ontop in this bench, cus one of us will jyst come back with a small bit more then before, or untill i cba anymore and set it all back to my normal speed.

Just so you know my max speed with 1.5V (1.6V bios) is 4.05Ghz and benchable is 3.98Ghz, so dont be supprised if i post a VEry high score based on my uber cpu lol.

bah i wish it could do 4.2Ghz + but i dont have LN2 or Phase

I cant be botherd watching test over test and seeing my scores fall.... I have changed to 2Gb ram, i have Oced it to 3.8Ghz I have changed the FSB:Ram to 4:5 and i have played with the gfx settings... i have played with the ram timieng.... i cant get above 15139.... so stupid....

Saying that.... i replaced my g.skill with my XMS2DHX made the 500mhz with my cpu at 3.6ghz 400x9

Settings:
CPU: 3.6Ghz @ 1.45V
Ram: 500Mhz 4-4-4-10
FSB: 400x8 Ram: 4:5

Gfx settings:
PCI-E: 110
Core: 648Mhz
Shader: 1675Mhz
Memory: 2214Mhz

I had to have one more go before i packed it in, and an email i recived pushed me to do it (ok 3 more tryes actually lol)

I have now retired from Benchmarking untill i get a new mobo. as this one sucks and keeps crashing... and yea it did blue screen just after each benchmark thank god! (had time to get pic of scores)

Unlucky however mine aint bsoding 15421 scored
